Authored by Hartmann Schedel (1440 - 1514) in Nuremberg, the engravers being Wilhelm Pleydenwurff (1460 - 1494) and Michael Wolgemuth (1434 - 1519). In great shape, as shown, a few very small stains and a few tiny small annotations, else stellar. 13 separate hand-colored cuts featuring various church heretics and ancient figures Polycarp, Aulus Gellius, Ptolemy, Felicitas, Praxedis, Apelles, Montanus, Anicetus, Victor, Sother, Eleutheris, Calixtus, and Sepherinus ; attractive gothic font with some larger capitals.
